Puerta Real Academy: academy par excellence in Granada

We are a teaching center with a long trajectory and we have academies in Malaga: Academia Avenida Andalucía, Cordoba: Academia Cruz Conde, and Murcia: Academia Alba. We have been offering Spanish courses for foreigners in Granada since 2015.

The Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) department offers language courses both for those who have the objective of studying Selectividad UNED courses and for those who wish to learn or develop more proficiency in Spanish in personal, academic or professional contexts.

In addition, our program has Spanish courses focused on specific purposes that allow the student community to select the course that best meets their particular needs.

Our teaching system and the design of our ELE program (based on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) offer a wide range of training possibilities.

We are also a reference in support classes for E.S.O. and Bachillerato, Access to Intermediate and Higher Level Training Cycles, Access to University for Over 25 and 45 year olds, and Selectividad by UNED.

As for language preparation,

We offer ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) courses and we are a SIELE center for the Cervantes Institute.
Due to our experience and results, we are recognised as a PREMIUM Preparation Centre by Cambridge Assessment English, an exam center and enrolment center, and we are part of the prestigious Exams Andalucía.
We also teach French for the DELF B1 and DELF B2 certificates from Alliance Française.

Academia Puerta Real also offers classes for the Local and National Police and Penitentiary Institution Assistants examinations.

In all our courses, we elaborate exclusive didactic material according to the guidelines and orientations of each test.

With over 15 years of experience in providing educational services and leading teams (academic and administrative), he is responsible for organizing everything so that Puerta Real al Español students have the best educational tools to achieve their goals.

Omar Chriaa

With over 5 years of experience advising on educational services, he is in charge of contacting and facilitating the arrival of each international student in Granada. His support in managing the necessary documentation for the validation of studies and obtaining visas provides timely follow-up so that our students can fully enjoy the experience of living and studying in Spain.

Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) Academic Coordinator

Rebeca Ferreiro

With over 7 years of experience coordinating ELE academic teams and programs in Mexico, the USA, and Spain, more than 14 years as an ELE teacher, and 25 years as a professor of language, literature, and film, she is responsible for supporting you in your educational process.

• Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Literature, Master's degree in Communication, and PhD in Political Science (with a focus on Communication).
• Courses and training sessions in team coordination, transformation of our center using the SACIC framework, ELE teaching methodology, use of AI in the ELE classroom, design and adaptation of materials for the ELE classroom, teaching in hybrid models, and pedagogical mediation.
• Teaching experience at CEFR levels A1 to C2, in courses for specific purposes and as a DELE exam preparation instructor in various contexts (immersion, foreign language, heritage speakers, business, and political settings) for children, adolescents, and adults in Mexico, the United States, and Spain. Advisor for university theses in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) for students in Beijing, China.
• DELE examiner at levels A1 to C2 for adults; levels A2/B1 and B2/C1 for school children.
• Trainer of Spanish as a Foreign Language teachers in the Diploma Program in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the University of Guadalajara.
• Experience in the design of Spanish as a Foreign Language educational materials, assessment materials, and programs for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and Spanish as a Second Language (from basic to university level) in various countries, as well as the coordination and co-design of the Diploma Program on 20th-Century Mexican Women Writers at the University of Guadalajara Foundation/USA.

Ester García

With over 3 years of experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, she is responsible for welcoming you and supporting you in your daily life at the academy.

• Graduate in Translation and Interpreting, with a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a Master's degree in Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching.
• Courses and training sessions in ELE teaching methodology, the use of AI in the ELE classroom, and as a SIELE exam preparation instructor.
• Teaching experience at levels A1 to B2 of the CEFR and as a DELE exam preparation instructor in various contexts (immersion, foreign language) for teenagers and adults in France and Spain.
• DELE examiner for levels A1 to C2 for adults.
• Experience teaching Spanish to immigrants. • Experience in designing educational materials, assessment materials, and the specific-purpose Spanish for Business program at Academia Puerta Real al Español.
• Speaker at events in the Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) sector.

Selma Bargach

With over 3 years of experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, she will help you achieve your Spanish learning goals.

• Graduate in Translation and Interpreting, with a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting.
• Courses and training sessions in Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching methodology and communicative grammar in the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom.
• Teaching experience at levels A1 to C1 of the CEFR and as a DELE exam preparation tutor in various contexts (immersion, foreign language, heritage speakers) for teenagers and adults in Morocco and Spain.
• DELE examiner for levels B1 and B2 for adults. As an Arabic speaker, she facilitates linguistic and cultural mediation for students of that language background by adapting materials and activities.

Pilar Luque

With over 5 years of experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) and over 2 years as a language and literature teacher, she will help you achieve your Spanish learning goals.

• Graduate in Modern Languages and Literatures, with a Master's degree in Hispanic Studies, specializing in Teaching Spanish as a First/Second Language.
• Courses and training sessions in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) methodology, music, social media, interaction, the use of AI in the ELE classroom, and the meaning of speaking and learning a language (according to the IC).
• Teaching experience at levels A1 to C1 of the CEFR and as a DELE exam preparation instructor in various contexts (immersion, foreign language, and business) for teenagers and adults in Italy and Spain.
• DELE examiner for levels A1 to C2 for adults; A1/A2 and B1 for school children.
• Teaching experience in Spanish Language and Literature for PCE students, as well as working as a conversation assistant at the secondary level in Italy.
• Experience in designing assessment materials for the Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) program at Puerta Real al Español.

With over 2 years of experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and over 5 years as a language and literature teacher, she will help you achieve your Spanish learning goals.

• Graduate in Classical Philology, with a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching. Specialization in Language and Literature, Latin, and Greek.
• Courses and training sessions in ELE teaching methodology and classroom management.
• Teaching experience at levels A1 to B2 of the CEFR in an immersion context for teenagers and adults in Spain. • Extensive teaching experience in Spanish Language and Literature for PCE students, as well as experience as a conversation assistant at the secondary level in Italy.
• Experience in designing assessment materials for the Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) program at Puerta Real al Español.

• Teaching experience at levels A1 to C2 of the CEFR, as a DELE preparation instructor, and in courses for specific purposes in various contexts (immersion and foreign language) for teenagers and adults in Italy and Spain.

• Courses and training sessions in Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching methodology, the use of AI in the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom, SIELE exam preparation, and addressing student diversity.

With over three years of experience teaching History to both Spanish and international students, Irene organizes extracurricular activities that promote linguistic and cultural exchange. She fosters the full integration of our students into the city of Granada through conversation clubs, reading clubs, board game afternoons, and scheduled excursions, making life in Spain a fun and meaningful experience.
